New rules for 2006
The British Dance Council has completed a review
of its rules. The new rules came into effect from the start
of 2006 - Rulebook amended from 29th October 2006.
Dancing in Schools
The British Dance Council is promoting a scheme
to encourage young children to be introduced to dance through their
local educational
schools.
A Sub-Committee of the Council has developed a package that will
help dance teachers to become involved in teaching in educational
schools.
All qualified teachers in any branch can take advantage of this opportunity,
providing they can teach a very simple syllabus of popular dances,
provided by the British Dance Council.
