 ONE CENTRAL CONTROL: 

  • For all dance competitions and championships for children and adults nationwide through a common rule book
  • For the licensing of all adjudicators
  • For all British professional/amateur matters worldwide
  • For the development of a unified approach, within the member dance associations, to the teaching of dance and the grading and status of dance teachers
  • For the introduction of Ballroom and Latin American dance into educational Schools
  • For the application of funding to support dance projects

 ONE FORUM:

  • To encourage continued personal development for amateurs and professionals through regular congresses
  • To provide networking between members
  • For the exchange of ideas through its various committees to develop best practice in dance
  • To amicably resolve disputes and differences of opinion
  • To encourage all teachers of dance to enlist the protection of a recognised dance teacher organization
  • To encourage the public to attend only classes run by dance teachers qualified with a recognised teacher organization.
