REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL BDC BALLROOM AND LATIN COMPETITIONS AND CHAMPIONSHIPS -
To All Amateur competitors competing under BDC rules,
I bring to your attention the following statement recently published on the EADA website which is completely untrue and misleading:
I quote
"the price of EADA membership for 2012 at £18 will include registration with the BDC which enables competitors to compete in all competitions run under BDC rules in the UK .”
This dual registration means that data will be shared between EADA and the BDC”.
These arrangements have never been discussed by this Council.
Amateur competitor registration is only with the Corporate Member Amateur bodies within the BDC Dancesport Scotland , the Welsh Amateur Dancesport Association or directly with the BDC, not through any third party.
I have written to the President of EADA insisting that this information be removed from the EADA website and circulated to EADA members.
